The Ballard family home has been a rehearsal place in Los Angeles for many musicians threw out the years who have went on to play and tour with famous artists such as, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, The Delfonics, and Sergio Mendez, Bill Withers, Steve Wonder , Berry White, The Supremes, Snoop Dog, The Whispers the list goes on and on. One purpose of the Ballard Jam is to encourage kids, new young artists and musicians allowing them to jam and perform with seasoned and well known artists. By doing so it helps young artist or musicians sharpen their skill performing with a live band and various musicians, making connections and in some case a mentor or teacher, and for the smaller kids to see and hear real live musician up closes at an early ages is a real good thing. We never know? The next Michael Jackson or Miles Davis could be run around here at the Ballard Jam! Every year we all have a good time. We do provide good food and drinks, games all day.
